The clerk, Mrs Alison Gibson, has been in post since May 2014. Her contact details are at the top and bottom of this page. Alison, who has previous experience as a clerk, also works part time at Leicester and De Montfort Universities so may not always be immediately available, if you leave a message she will get back to you as soon as possible.

Details of Persons Nominated for the Parish, District and Parliamentary Elections can be accessed through this webpage.

As there are five seats on Tur Langton Parish Council and five valid nomination papers have been received by Harborough District Council, the election is classed as uncontested and the candidates are classed as "elected". This means that, whilst polls for the District and Parliamentary Elections will take place on 7/5/15, there will not be a poll for Tur Langton Parish Council.

Important dates for the District and Parliamentary Elections:

  • Day of Poll – 7am to 10pm Thursday 7th May
  • Verification of votes to take place by no later than 2am on Friday 8th May, this will take place at one of the three parliamentary lead authorities, Melton BC, Blaby DC or Oadby & Wigston DC

Parish Council Meetings

Meetings take place in the Village Hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings, which usually start at 7.30 p.m. Agendas are posted 4-days in advance on the noticeboard and on the Meetings Calendar on this website. The dates of the next meetings can also be seen on the panel to right.
